Dear Love - what would you have me know?

I just listened to a new episode of the "Good Life Project" podcast in which Elizabeth Gilbert is sharing with Jonathan Fields one practice that changed her life. You can find all about it here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4yDofLa6PHclXK7kFE8vtT?si=chPk9WlKTPS1HOuNjHy8cg&nd=1&dlsi=cd841b37d79d413f.

The core idea of the practice is to facilitate a connection to our (true) Self/Love/Universal Energy/God/Oneness/Own deity (whatever it is you choose to believe in) by initiating a 2 way conversation prompted by asking Love the question: "What would you have me know?" Right in this moment. And then writing down the answer that comes for 5 minutes, in a free flow state, uncensored by the mind. By hand.

Beside being eager to initiate this dialogue in this way, I was also looking for inspiration through this practice to write my (belated) weekly post. I was hoping something very inspiring will come out of it that I can base my post on. The answer that came was nothing short of inspiring but in such a different way 😎 Voila, here is the transcript 👇

"Sweetheart of mine, do not be so hard on yourself to do this practice and in the same time to get a love letter from me that is worthy and interesting enough for other people, so you can publish it on your blog. Just stop trying to do things as it is expected from yourself and others. Relax. What if there is no post this week? It's fine. Even if you don't cross your KPIs this week. It's fine not to be perfect and it's ok to not even do it all. All that you envision so dearly with never-ending to-do-lists that only get bigger and bigger. It does not matter. I still cherish and love you even without this post today. You might think that you will publish this letter just for the sake of doing your job. It's ok if you do and it's equally ok if you don't.

It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter."

What better message to take into next week then <take it easy>. Do the things we put sooo much emphasis on really matter?
