WE LIVE WHAT WE BELIEVE WE ARE

... said probably a whole bunch of wise people, among which also Tony Robbins.

Yesterday evening I came across a short video of him talking about how our beliefs determine our behaviour and end of the day shape our lives. And it got me thinking again about my own experience. How I collected a lot of beliefs in my early childhood from grandparents, parents, school, environment etc (like we all do), how I took them as guiding principles, grew into fully believing in them until slowly they became my default operating system.

Fast forward about 20 years later the process of self discovery started and with it came a lot of self awareness, reflection, questioning, shedding and updating.

Then the 30's brought along even more identity deaths & rebirths and the bugging question "is this all life is"? Is this how I will spend my next hopefully-more-than half of the earthly side life? This question has been obsessively making rounds especially in my professional life.

Now, here I am writing on a post on a Friday afternoon while curiously contemplating about the new page, the next chapter. Some people might be going about and saying "oh darling yes, you are having a mid life crisis, it happens". No, I am having a life review. A realignment. A transition.

And while I do not know what the next step will be and where the journey will take me, I know for sure what I am not and most importantly what I AM. Even if for only brief and flickering splits of a second.
